Exercise 7: Arm strength and stamina

This is a fun exercise with a balloon (or ball) that will help improve strength and stamina in the arm muscles. You will need something stable to sit on, such as a mat or wheelchair, and a balloon (or ball) suspended on a string. If you wish, you can also use wrist weights. Make sure you’re seated in a stable position. Try to hit the balloon in different directions. Stretch your arm as high as you can to reach it. If you are unable to lift your whole arm, just raise your forearm or even your hand. This is still a good way of working the muscles. To increase the challenge, you can use a ball instead of a balloon and/or add weighted wrist cuffs. Alternatively, you can do this exercise with a reflex (boxing) ball.
